It’s a bit unsettling to tell the truth having it done that fast. That’s a really gorgeous little salamander(?) you’ve drawn. I’m sure someone’s goning to want him as a pet. Just hope they don’t live in a wooden house. Tony Orzech replies: "I bet she would get along well with your Passerine Phoenix... on second thought, it may end up as a one time lunch date ;-)" | |
| 11 Aug 2008 | Stephanie S. K. Marbach | Loading...wooooooooow, so sweet !!! i looooooooooove the way you’ve faded out the "frame" of the picture, it looks amazing...!!! and that creek with some hot stuff underneath looks so real and awesome, too!!! you’ve got amazing skills with coloured pencils... great job !!! Tony Orzech replies: "Thank you, Stephanie!" | |
| 11 Aug 2008 | Sarah Troyer | Loading...Very nice Tony! I shall never reach your level of work..bravo! Tony Orzech replies: "Thanks Sarah, but I do have a few more... decades... of practice than you have had. I think that gives me a slight advantage ;-)" | |
| 11 Aug 2008 | Jennifer Deese | Loading...Oh, this is just awesome. You work with colored pencils in a way that almost makes it look like a painting. If I could do that... If only I could do that with colored pencils... I don’t know what I’d do! I like the soft purple light reflecting off the little dragon (or is that its natural skin color?) , and also the muscle textures. Thank you for being an inspiration on my work! Expect the face studies real soon. Tony Orzech replies: "Thanks Jennifer! I think you will be able to do work like this... some day. The purple is just a reflective light effect. I use the artist quality soft Prismacolor & Design Spectracolor pencils. They are a bit like using paint, there is a lot of layering of color on this piece. They cover well and can be blended together, to some degree. You should look into getting one of the big sets of the Prismacolor. I bet you would like them. ;-) I’m looking forward to those sketches... real soon ;-)" | |
