| 5 Feb 2007 | Karu Hernandez | Loading...I saw this pic in the past; when you showed it to me I really loved it; all the details in it are incredible & the thing that captivated my eyes (by first instance) was her hands! they look so realistic!! Good job & also congrats for the Moods!! You deserve it D Tony Orzech replies: "Thanks for the comment Karu, even though I already showed it to you before it was posted here. I have only done a couple of digital paintings so far, so I'm pleased with the way it came out." | |

| 4 Oct 2007 | Jennifer Deese | Loading...*sigh* 40 hours... Seems that you have a lot of patience for paintings like these... I remember color theory drove me literally insane, but I shouldn't whine if I haven't tried this. The overall mood is very comforting and I like her expression. I'm not big on words, so I'll try and say it a little simpler: Cooollll...... Tony Orzech replies: "Hi Jennifer! Thanks for the comment.I hope you realize that I didn't sit for 40 hours doing this. Only about 1-4 hours at a sitting. Sometimes less, sometimes more. This time also includes all the preliminary work like rough concept sketch, early sketches for the structure of the castle, the wings...., research to find the right face and hands, Drawings to get the right proportions and composition of the different elements... You know... little insignificant things like that ;-) The actual digital painting was about 25-30 hours. But I am in the process of reworking this piece. It was fine for what I needed to do it for in the time I had to do it in, but It is not what I wanted the finished piece to look like. I have another 4+ hours in it so far and maybe another 5+ (maybe 10) to go. I'll post it along side this one when I'm finished. I'll let you know. " | |
| 2 Jan 2008 | Jenna 'Kaikisuka' Linn Barton | Loading...Forty hours? Ha, and I whine about two or three!! Patience is not a strong trait in me. But she's beautiful. I can't find a thing to critique about it. But I was wondering--what are those little lights near the base of the mountain? Little homes? Or enemies coming to attack the town (good luck, they've got an angel on their side...)? At any rate, BEAUTIFUL. *sigh* Just...beautiful. Tony Orzech replies: "The lights are enemies coming to attack the castle.I am almost finished reworking this one to get it to what I originally wanted it to look like, but didn't have enough time. I will post the redo next to this one when finished, but I will have you take a look at it first " | |
| 9 Aug 2008 | Jeroen ChristianCreature Vercruysse | Loading...tell me tony hOw HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW,,, DID YOU DO THAT!!! Tony Orzech replies: "I ’painted’ this in Photoshop. I also used references for the face and hands. I am in the process of redoing this piece. It was good enough at the time, just not good enough for me. When I finish I will put it up along side this one so you can see the changes I make. I am just not sure when that will be. ;-)" | |

| 12 Jan 2010 | Natalie adams | Loading...30 layers?! omg wow. that’s where i am going wrong....right, i need a tablet, and more layers... Tony Orzech replies: "The tablet will make the greatest difference, the layers allow for more flexibility and room to experiment. Personally I prefer the 2nd version of this piece, which added several more layers to the mix Thanks Natalie, for all the comments! I will try to make it over to see your art soon " | |
