Jennifer Deese was nice enough to let me color one of her sketches. I was inspired by this excellent sketch and wanted to try my hand at doing a digital coloring of it. You can see the line drawing here: http://www.elfwood.com/art/j/e/jenniferdee/mellow_toddler.jpg.html Jennifer is also in my favorites listing. Check her out and give her lots of nice comments. I have permission from Jennifer, to show our collaboration results in my gallery. The image, concept & character belong to Jennifer Deese. Image colored and displayed with permission from Jennifer Deese 11/08. I did this in Photoshop 7 on an iMac with a WACOM Bamboo tablet, the original is 9 inches X 12 inches, 300ppi, 86 MB (saved size), 36+ layers, about 25 hours.

Oh, she’s just SOOOO irresistably cuuuuuute!!! I just wanna grab her up and give her a great big hug! And the lighting and shading is simply wonderful!
*I modded your ticket, by the way, which is why I commented so fast! ;-)

:-) Tony Orzech replies: "Thanks for the fast ticket Shawn. That took ..what... about an hour to get through. Is that a record? Thanks for the favorites tag too 1 Let Jennifer know what you think of her drawing too."

This is so wonderful! I just did the line drawing, but you’re the one who brought this character and this scene to life. Her fur texture is so detailed that I’m tempted to reach out and stroke her tails. 2 The moss covering the trees is also a great touch and gives the forest an even more menacing feel to it. As far as we know, she probably thinks the trees are monsters. I also like that purple fog in the background, and how everything just disappears into the darkness. I could say more, but I’m sure you already know how happy I am when I see this. Thanks, Tony! I must work on your request, but I will be getting to it again once the finals are done with. I’m very sorry for the delay...

:-) Tony Orzech replies: "Thanks Jennifer. I am happy that you are happy;-) Good luck with your finals! I look forward to working with you again. And thanks again for letting me play 1

He’s so cute, and he looks so scared pore little thing. Awesome shading Tony. And the background is very lovely as well.

:-) Tony Orzech replies: "Jennifer did a good job with portraying the emotion, even the teddy bear looks scared. Thanks for the comment Asja."

Excellent job coloring! There is a lot of depth in this picture and the tones are very woodsy and rich! Fur is hard to color, but this looks spectacular 1

:-) Tony Orzech replies: "Hi Therese, It’s been too long. What’s new? Thanks for stopping by."
