Very cool! I like the mist floating just off the ground, and the orange glow in the sky. The bloom of the "flower" holding the fetus about to be born is gorgeous, and I like how more are in the background. The elders themselves are striking, and their expectant expressions make clear what is happening, even if one ignores the title. Just a totally wonderful piece.

:-) Tony Orzech replies: "Thanks Bob! Happy you like it."

I like the inhuman faces on the Naga. You really did a good job making them look just the right amount of alien to be convincinly not human, but at the same time something people can still identify with. The egg is a very clever idea...I like that it is clear and you can see the gestation. The light source is also very well done...I personally have alwasy timid when it comes to dramatic light sources...but this piece makes me what to do better with that. 1

:-) Tony Orzech replies: "Thanks Therese! Always happy to inspire. Let me know if I can help."

:-) Tony Orzech replies: "Thanks Jeroem! No names for these people yet, but these individuals are the Keepers of the Birth. They are the ones who take care of and protect the pods that hold the developing young of their species. And when the time comes, they are the ones who assist in the final 'birth' from the pod. 1 "

shouldn’t the baby be in a woman?

:-) Tony Orzech replies: "They are neither mammal (so the female does not carry) nor reptile (so no clutch of eggs). This alien species has a symbiotic relationship with this specific plant life. Each providing a life giving service to the other. Thanks for the comment Keegan 2"

oh it’s a egg, didn’t know just figured out

:-) Tony Orzech replies: "Yes and no, The plant does act as a shell or womb that helps form and protect the fluid sack. This one is ready to "hatch". Good observation, Keegan. It is nice to see that you are taking the time to really look at the art 2"
