Out of phase

 

I want to be with you in the night,

But by nightfall you become doe,

Wild, surefooted and shy.

You  run away to the woods,

And leave me alone

To wander in moonlight.

I want to be with you in the day,

But by dayrise I become wolf,

Savage and speechless.

And I sit by your feet,

As the handsome young lords

Flock around you.

As sun of noon and moon of midnight

Chaise each other across the same sky

Newer meeting, so are we,

Always caught in different phase.

Do you still love me?
