The warrior of light

In times both bitter and bright,

Every day I choose Light,

And Darkness, like ancient plague,

Always watching my back;

The anger stalks from behind,

Attempting to make me blind.

The ghosts are filling the dark,

But lit just a little spark,

And scattered they run in fright,

And lighter becomes the night!

And in the dark ripens dawn,

And life is going on

Whenever its joy or blight,

Every day I choose Light.
