Some creature, seemingly consumed by evil, but still harbors the seed of good...

Dark heart

At first it seemed to be dark heart,

Consumed by evil might:

The living dead, the walking grave,

Deprived of any light.

Bun in the very depths of dark,

Where even evil dares not step,

Unknown power quietly grows

Unseen within this secret gap.

And sun ray from forgotten days

So faded, but still bright

Protects this hidden seed of strength,

And gives not warmth, but light.

12 Jul 2007	Heidi Hecht	Loading... This is awesome. Have you ever seen the "Lord of the Rings" movies, or read the books? This sort of reminds me of Gollum, a creature who has been twisted by evil, but still has a shred of good in him.
