Natalie Touretsky (Gerie Aren)

Natalie a rather dreamy Biology student

WARNING: Those poems are unedited. Nobody had read them before I posted them. There may be wrong usage of words and absoluely messed up grammar! Just tell me and I'll try to fix it:))

Back to the bio: I was born in Russia, in 1974, but last 13 years I live in Israel. I made up stories and played with poety from the very young age. One day I tried to translate some of it to English. Origially it was going to be a bit of English practise:) To my surprise, it turned out good. Some of my poems have pretty dark mood, because I tend to write poetry when I'm very depressed.

New additions:
The dark heart (8.10.04)
Waiting for spring (04.07.05)
Stormdragon's Bride (13.08.05)

NEW: my page on stihi.ru ('Private Library' link) is up and running!:) Poems mostly in Russian, and some in English too (rejected by Elfwood moderators:)))

Your poems are great, and I don't think the English is very bad, especially considering that you've probably never lived in an English-speaking country before. Your poems have great atmosphere and I love them 1

Hi Natalie! Your poems are great; they have this great fantasy atmosphere…
You are so brave to write poetry on your second language, I will never dare! “You are too brave to live!” he-he-he2… But honestly, I am very, very impressed! *bows*

:-) Natalie Touretsky (Gerie Aren) replies: "Thank you!2) I write on my third language (hebrew) too... For me it's only a question of vocabulary size, it seems. If I know enough words and feel sure enough with grammar, I'll write in any language2)"

Wow - these are great! I love your poems! ^_^ They are even better (if thats possible) because they're not in your first language! Well done! *three cheers* Very beautiful writing, keep doing it. Add some more if you can!

:-) Natalie Touretsky (Gerie Aren) replies: "Thank you!2 I'm adding more pretty soon: update is worming it's way through the moderators2))))) Hope they will leave at least somethng of it!2"

Your poetry says something but I really can't say what...the words are not coming to me yet. But one word is sure...WOW! Your very good and convey your ideas in a very lovely manner. I hope to see more...?

I like writing too, but you lived in Russia? And now Israel? 10 That's cool. Better then living in Spokcandy. (Spokane, Washington, USA). Anyway, I need to learn how to write poetry, you can look at what I've got but it's not much. Good luck in future ways, Natalie! :: smiles and skips back to her lil hut in Elfwood, leaving a trail of some Japanese candy behind for her to follow... (I don't know what kind of candy Russia has...sorry...) ::

:-) Natalie Touretsky (Gerie Aren) replies: "Thank you!2)) Well, changing countries isn't that easy2 I took it pretty well, but so many didn't... I'll jump to your page someday in near future2)))
I never tasted japanese candy, it's not too popular in Israel2) Well, candy is candy anyway2)))"

Gosh, I'm beginning to get jealous!

:-) Natalie Touretsky (Gerie Aren) replies: "Don't be!2) Your english is far better than mine, both the usage of grammer and vocabulary2"

If I had your talent for words, creating these singing emotions and vivid imagery, I would give up drawing and set my hopes to pen.

:-) Natalie Touretsky (Gerie Aren) replies: "Why? 2) You can draw very well. And, anyway, we can have more than one hobby, and be good at it2)) Thanks for reading!2)"

The design is great! Very interesting page, I'm very glad to be here, thank you for a link, Gerie!
You are very talented, just do not stop - write! It's wonderful we have met in Internet (well, I'm starting a poem...) - it's an honor for me! 12

:-) Natalie Touretsky (Gerie Aren) replies: "The credit for the page design goes to site-owners (Tomas and co)2 But I agree that it's cool!2)))
About what the poem will be?2"

Shalom and п&;#1088;ивет! It's nice to see a fellow russian/israeli envolved in the arts! Yeay! How did you manage to learn English anyway while living in Israel? Anyway, I like your poems, they are very imaginative. I'm very impressed! *imagines a black unicorn, hides under the bed*

12 Natalie Touretsky (Gerie Aren) replies: "Thank you for a nice comment. I learned English while I was still in Russia. "Spets-shkola" if it says you something.2 7 hours of English a week, since 2 grade. And really good strong teachers. And in Israel I read English a lot too. "
