Alright, I dedicate this pic to the Phoenix project. Story behind all this...::clears throat and stands on soap box:: I work at the local Renaissance Festival (Mn) and in Feb. of 99 there was a fire, suspected arson (hopes to ring the necks of the buggers who did it). Well, the project to rebuild the area that was burned was called the Phoenix Project...hence the lil Phoenix watching over the fest in the pic

Your Rennfair was burned? That's horrible! I love the pic, though. The Pheonix symbolism is great.

My bird is getting jealous of his tails ~12 Great colors as well! Me: I'm not even a bird (well hmmm...) and I'm jealous of the lil guys tails!

o.O Really neat! I like how the wings and tail look like they're made out of fire. Pretty cool. And the colours are great too, the traditional phoenix colours red and yellow, but more subtle, like watercolours. It's a nice effect, making the picture look pretty and colourful, yet still without overdoing it. Very cool pic, I really like it 2

Beautiful pic!

Yeah, I heard about that one. You see, I live in minnesota, about 20 miles from shakopee. I love going to the rennasance festival. The only problem is to get into the festival. Long lines both ways. But it's worth it.

I think this looks really good and really makes the phoenix seem alive, well done!
Bye the way, did you actually paint this?!

:-) Tracie~Coal~Blueberry~ Fullerton replies: "Actually, it's the smudger tool in photo shop, all this was done in colored pencil, I may bring him back for an airbrush project though"

I love this! It has a story behind it and that totally enhances the art. I'd like to say that you could have an amazing career as a professional artist! U R SOOO AMAZING!

:-) Tracie~Coal~Blueberry~ Fullerton replies: "O.o professional? thanks..that's an ego booster, I actually plan on being a pro-photographer, but I'm debating on doing art as a second major. "

What a wild contrast you have between the upper and lower half of the drawing... The bird looks like it has been painted with love and attention by a *really* good drawer, but the little houses, the hills and the sun appear to have been made by a 9-year old... (I mean, even I *could* draw them)
