its funny this reminds me of something that was actually happening IRL, there was a certain type of toad that were blowing up and dying. And then some scientific researchers found out what was happening. Crows were flying in and penetrating the toads stomachs with the sharp beaks and removing one of their organs, i think their liver, and it would result in the toad blowing up like a beach ball. Where as here it appears your little crow has had its heart ripped out
