SciFi and Fantasy Art Scorpio - The Dark Mother by Sarah Trumpp

An illustration for a book on Jungian Psychology and the zodiac, the Dark Mother is the queen of the underworld. Her entire aspect involves death and sex, hence the 'spider queen' persona (I figured a black widow fit nicely - they eat their mates, after all). She is the transformational energy, the life force of all things. The top frame is a scorpion to represent . . Scorpio. The bottom frame holds the glyph for scorpio and represents water.

11 Oct 2003	Jonathan	Loading... Ok, I have to comment on this because it is my Zodiac sign; even though I don't like scorpios or water much. I prefer the chineese zodiac and earth.
