| 25 Sep 2003 | Nikolaj W. Severin | Loading...Oh yeah you got the freaking talent and skill. You really captures the emotion and the the placing of every line on the paper. I really like that you only use the pencil (does that too ) Have you ever tried really punishing you pencil, making them all greyscale as I see most of them are rather bright, you have the talent to go that deep so try consider it. Just an idea not a real advice... keep it up Justin T. Short replies: "actually, the only reason they're bright is because I do major cleanup with my eraser while I'm drawing. I hold my pencil a funny way that forces me to drag my hand across the page, so unless I keep things (reasonably) clean, they get smudged. Plus I just plain like contrast." | |
| 23 Oct 2003 | Michelle Marie Christopherson | Loading...Well from looking at your work I can see what you mean by darkening the edges. I will definitely try doing that on the next pic I do or if I find myself at a lack of creative inspiration I guess on one that I've already done. Thanks for the comment!Bye. | |

| 18 Jun 2004 | Tracey Hill | Loading...hi, sorry im only just getting around to replying my comments and you left one on my pheonix, thanks alot, and how to get good colouring, well i dunno the only thing i can suggest is to colour the pic in one colour then put a darker shade of this colour around the edge...thats what i do in photoshop, but make sure the colour gets graduly darker so it all looks natural. Then put darker shades where shadows are, then highlights where light is directly shining, i hope that helped, i picked up colouring quite quick and its not perfect but i really hope i helped you out, just practise sweetie! hope to see ya soon!(with cooured pics lol) Tracey hill x x x Justin T. Short replies: "why does it seem like everyone but me has picked up coloring quickly and naturally? I've been playing around with color settings for over a year now, and trust me, nothing has been cranked out worthy of public viewing. close a few times, but no cigar. Go see her gallery, especially if you want to see a phoenix with color..." | |
| 2 Jul 2004 | Charlotte Mei Jennings | Loading...Hello, I thought I would return the favour of visiting and comments! Hoho! Weeeeeeeeeeellllllll, I must say, your work is very impresive! It is individual (very important, that!) and well drawn...the shading is perfect and the detail in each of them is beautiful! A little colour here and there would make me even more jelous! Hehe! | |
