| 31 Dec 2003 | Liz.. Liz The Great | Loading...I agree with Naomi. I think each slight imperfection ( or what others would call imperfections) on her just gives her or character. Not everything is perfect-sorry- not even angels. That just goes to show that even the most beautiful of creatures have their downsides. But I like the picture, the lips, the nose, the slightly smaller booby.. (Im not sure if this was because of my monitor, but it honestly looks like she has a slightly smaller booby ) and everything else, just makes it a very well done picture. ESPECIALY for your first time with this sort of style.. | |
| 1 Jan 2004 | Joanna lesley wilson aka Scary Poppins. | Loading...I think she looks like Steffi Graffe! Love the way you have shown influences of art deco and pre raphelite imagery. The symbol of the cross pre-dates Christianity. You are very talented. | |
| 25 Jan 2004 | Alison Guynes | Loading...The detail in the wings and the border is astonishing. Her nose is a little big, but I think it adds character to the picture. After all, who says angels have to be perfect? *grin* We aren't. We all have varying features that make us look a little strange. | |
| 17 Apr 2004 | Stephanie Shimerdla | Loading...I agree with everything you said. The only thing I don't like about her is the lips. Something about the placement... or maybe the size. They even make her nose look a little off, but I think the nose is actually fine. Anyway, this is gorgeous. The wings you did an exceptional job on, I would say. And I also love the border. | |
| 15 Jun 2004 | Rachel E Greene | Loading...I think she is lovely, and the only thing wrong with her lips is that you accentuated the top lip a bit too much, making it look like she had a bad silicon implant there i realise you can't fix it, but for me it's easier to avoid future problems in my piccies if i know what is wrong in the old ones. | |
| 17 Sep 2004 | Dude | Loading...Very well done, though not as good as some of your other pieces. For some reason, when I saw this picture the first thing I thought was, "That looks like Wanda Sykes." *chuckle* | |
| 30 Oct 2004 | Gwendylyyn, the Vampyre Mistress | Loading...This is awesome and the lips really do not look that off. She looks like she is African-American or close to African-American and, so, the lips go with her. The only thing that I found a little odd to my eyes is the way her nails are shaped. They seem a little boxy, making them look a bit more...fake. That's just my opinion, though. Awesome piece. | |
| 31 May 2005 | Rachel | Loading...you're talented with pen and ink. The graphic, two-dimensionality is a strong, appealing quality in this drawing. This has a meaningful use of line and pattern to depict forms and the lack of modeling in the figure and face is not frustrating me because its commityed to a more deliberate handling. The border you've drawn is also really wonderful and helps to tie in the style of the drawing with a completely abstract, two dimensional, symbolic pattern. This would make a great lithograph. | |
