Here is another commissioned piece. An elf rogue with a cutlass and hooded cloak admiring his latest pickpocket prize. Done with pencil, tell me what you think!!!

I love how clean all your work looks... And, as the commentors before me have repeatedly pointed out, the detail is just admirable.

However, I don't think a rogue that has to pick pockets would wear armor and weaponry this high-priced. He looks more like an aristocrat than a thief. 12 But this is just me being nitpicky... so don't take it the wrong way. I love the picture. 2

With all the great reveiws before mine, I hate to be negative, but there's a few mistakes.
First, the sword is a rapier. A cutlass is a shorter, wider-bladed sword meant for use on ships (it was never truly popular on land), and it has a curved blade.
Second, the armour he wears looks more like scales than chain. Chain armour is constructed of interlocking links, and has a very tight pattern to it, whereas the armour depicted looks like lizard-skin or scales.
Other than those two things the picture is very nice. And the two things that I mentioned are only minor mistakes.

Well, I was going to mention the Cutlass/Rapier thing, but it seems someone else has already pointed that out. It's still a beautiful sword, wonderful positioning of the body, and impossibly intricate detail work. All in all, a very nice picture. Now I’m going to have a look at the rest of your gallery -Durlas

Excellent drawing and a remarkable flair!
As an artist myself, I can only praise your work. The difficulty of pencil drawing is a challenge for any artist and I think that you excel in this field.
Bravo and you deserve lots of congrats.

I love this pic! But don't the arms and the legs seem like they belong to different people.

Hey, this is great! I especially like the sword, it is very intricately detailed. It's true that it *is* a rapier and not a cutlass, but that's just a minor technicality. I really like this guy's overall pose and look. Very Good!
