| About the mythological creatures know as the furies |
   |
Furies shimmering in the night,
Causing many a terrible fright.
Demonic in nature these women are,
But unexplainably they seek to punish the wicked.
Contradicting of nature and purpose,
Bringing the wrath of justice with them.
The wicked fear their presence,
While the descent welcome their coming.
Judge, jury, and executioner of their victims,
Drawing death always as the sentence.
Devils they are,
But at the same time, Angels.
