What is a dragoon anyway?  Sounds like a dragon warrior to me, so that's what I drew. Maybe a dragon hunter? Sure, why not. So that's what we have here.

There are two ideas of what a dragoon could be - one is warrior/hunter, like you depict. The other is a dragon rider 1

a dragoon was a soldier trained in both infantry and horse mounted combat. so in a sense a dragon rider would work.

and AWESOME artwork, by the by, I like this animated style you have in some of these.
