This is my redesign of Taarin, one of the main characters in the first arc of 'Chronicles of Galeia'©. I kicked around a couple ideas for him before coming back to basically the same design that you may have seen in the 'Chronicles' poster and 'The Crypt' pieces. I just added the cloak and the small breastplate, and redesigned the Blade of Erthan (also known as LightBringer) and a couple other things. I've done a tonal study of this one, much like the 'Ordin' piece, but I decided to just go all the way and color him, to get a better picture of him firmly in mind.

I like your coloring effects, such as the stones in the sword, the shine on the blade, the mud on the boots, and the blending of colors on the sleeves. It's all very realistic and nicely done. Interesting celtic work in the background. Good sense of movement on the scabbard.

Whoa... what can I say? I like the way you just defined his muscles better without making them huge... He looks strong, without bulging muscles. I like!

I love his little wrist guard thingies and the sword. Most of all I like the fact that you added a scabbard. I'm one of those artists who always draw these sword-wielding chracters without scabbards because...well, I can never get them to look right. And of course, I always draw it across the back (regardles of how inconvenient that might be) because it just looks so cool.

I like how he's all ruggedly handsome without being a heart throb. Oh...and I love the heroe's chin that he has 12

And you color 'real good' too.
