Garth Joseph Alexander Gilmore replies: "Rachel; a master? I am? I've rarely heard that spoken about my work, but believe you me I'm extremely flattered by your saying so. As I'm sure you can see in my art (and you've noted in your comment) I very much enjoy drawing wolves and werewolves, and I will be posting more soon. You have my thanks for your kind words, Rachel! | 20 Jul 2002 | Jerome Foster | Loading...Hey man, i don't know if it's my imagination but did you just double the amount of stuff here?! The 1st time I came I didn't notice half of it!! It's all looking good though.Keep it up!! Garth Joseph Alexander Gilmore replies: "Jerome; good to hear from you again! I'm afraid I haven't uploaded any more pictures outside of the initial 19 that are currently up, but the changes you may have noticed- my portrait photo, world-position map and a fair number of new comments- could be what you're perceiving. I will almost certainly be submitting a few new pics in the next couple of days or so with an additional day or two to have the Mods publish them and put them up, so very soon you will certainly see some more pics from me. Once again, I appreciate your interest in my work, Jerome! " | |
| 8 Feb 2003 | She*wolf | Loading...Love your pictures, but... i wonder what it would look like if you tried to draw a female. ^_^ Garth Joseph Alexander Gilmore replies: "Lexie; I'm afraid I've never tried to pick between ladies and gentlemen when it came to picking individual pieces of work, but I do admit that I usually end up drawing a male subject more often than a female one. Part of this is because I'm more comfortable with and adept at drawing the male form- I still have a great deal of trouble with cleavage or the face and lips of a woman, but I humbly admit that's no excuse for lack of practice on my part. Please consider your comments received and I hope you will accept my firm resolve to apply myself more to the female form in my work. Thanks for being as frank as you have- I was somewhat uncomfortable with your comment at first but sometimes a very objective external observation can be extremely perceptive. Please feel free to look forward to new work in the next few weeks! Good morning to you, Lexie! " | |
| 8 Dec 2003 | Garth Gilmore | Loading...This comment is for Pamela Wright, from the artist, in explanation of why I deleted her comment from this main page. My explanation is thus: the webpage mentioned in it at pathwayz.org is no longer in function. I may be setting one up with her assistance on her new domain, but that is currently in planning more than anything else. Pam, I don't want you to ever think I take your friendship lightly, and I apologize here on the odd chance that you might be offended by my first not replying to and then deleting your comment yesterday. Looking forward to having another lesson in WACOM tablet use! Thanks for letting me share my work with you and helping me make it better. Garth Joseph Alexander Gilmore replies: "This is just to confirm that the above comment was written by me. I'd forgotten that you can reply as an Elfwood Artist when I left the above comment, and this is just to make sure anyone who may have thought someone was 'impersonating' me (as unlikely as I feel it would be) knows that I both wrote and approve of the relevant comment. Thanks for your patience, and as always, for your interest in my work! " | |
