Maybe that’s because they’re more detailed; the top and bottom of the pic could use similar detail, perhaps. Then again, it does bring the attention to the midway, and seeing those dark places at the top and bottom would be hard in real life anyway. It could be a stylistic device to simulate reality! X)
The colors are quite neat as well. I like blue and yellow-green! Ty "Psytronic" Scheuerman replies: "Thanks for your comment! I have to say that yes, the detail on the background is actually my way of directing your attention to the focal point of the image. I think every image should have a focal point where detail and direction is concentrated to draw the viewer’s focus. It’s just one of those things that I carry over from general graphic design concepts into illustration!
Acid green = win." | |

It could still be better if the logs and houses looked a little more solid.
Overall, good job. Ty "Psytronic" Scheuerman replies: "Yeah, I’ll probably put more effort into showing the dimensions, should I draw anything similar with a different medium. Good markers are too damn expensive, and the colors were pretty wide-tipped."

It works very well, even though u havent put as much detail and attention into the trees as u have the little houses, it doesnt matter as it works. The fence reminds me alot of a scene in the pocahontas movie. I dont no if thats a good or bad thing though lol. Just one question, if these are people of the woods, why have they cut down their homes (trees) and turned them into a fence? Just seems a little odd to me.
I can see u have put alot of work into this piece, u should be proud of it
I’ll go have a look around ur gallery.
(saw this on forum btw)
Al x Ty "Psytronic" Scheuerman replies: "Hey, thanks for the indepth comment. I can at least explain for you that I meant the people to be forest dwellers, not strictly forest-worshippers. Many Native American tribes, for instance, held nature in high-regard for how much it gave to them. They would build with wood, but also they were thankful to the forest (and spirits) for providing it."
| 14 Jul 2008 | Rachel Danielle Toguchi | Loading...ok...WOW! That’s a lot of detail! This must have taken you forever! haha, IPainting just isn’t my thing, I’m afraid. I’m envious! Ty "Psytronic" Scheuerman replies: "Actually, it was drawn with ink- markers. Thanks a bunch for the kind words." | |

Then again, dreams have a knack for being vague. Well done, anyway. Ty "Psytronic" Scheuerman replies: "Thank you!"
| 26 Aug 2008 | Tobyana Oby Emakamo | Loading...Oh wow. I love this. I don’t see stuff done in marker very often, and for that media, this is pretty freaking good. Ty "Psytronic" Scheuerman replies: "Ha, thanks. Great to get appreciative comments!" | |
