Helen MA, BA. Born in Manchester, went through the education system to get to Uni. Played the Alto Saxophone and travelled around Europe with my school band. Met funky people at Uni, learnt Japanese and took off to Australia and met more funky people! I graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a Masters in Animation.
 
 
 

A Greek-Cypriot hailing from <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Manchester</st1:place></st1:city>, I declared to my family that I was “going to work for Disney” when I grew up. Not sure about the growing up bit now, but my dream is still alive and kicking!

Anime, Animation, Music (both listening and performing), Books, Film, swimming, walking and the ultimate procrastination sin: computer games!

Star Wars saga, Lord of the Rings trilogy, most of the Disney/Pixar movies, Red Dwarf, Star Gate SG-1, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, Charmed, Batman: The Dark Knight, The Harry Potter Films, Akira, Studio Ghibli's "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind", "Laputa" and "Howl's moving Castle", "Full Metal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shamballa" and the TV series.
Favorite Fantasy/Scifi Books
Garth Nix's "Abhorsen" Trilogy, Jonathan Stroud's "The Amulet of Samarkand", JK Rowling's "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban", and Robert Rankin's "Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse".
Favorite Music
Muse, Kasabian, Ting Tings, New Order, Run DMC, System of a Down, "The Legend of Zelda" orchestrations (A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Windwaker and Twilight Princess), The Fratellis, Alphabeat, John Williams, The Prodigy
