This oil pastel illustration depicts an alchemist unleashing the power of his array on the ground. The red aura signifies blood is being used as the catalyst for the alchemic spell to work, and the golden light emanating off the array is the energy being given off from the array, akin to spiritual pressure. And you can see the alchemist's body is literally burned from doing such a forbidden technique by using his blood as a catalyst.
