"British Balloon Batallion" by David Sebrechts

10 July 1940, EARTH (although derailed from our time-rails by an anomaly)

In a time when the hegemony of our own Earth is challenged by the German invasion of Britain (the Battle of Britain), on an other Earth the Great War of Nations with Similar-Looking Flags is being waged. It all started when the Grand-duchy of Luxembourg rose up and threw off its shackles of being small and non-threatening-in-a-military-way, and now most of central Europe is under the Duke's control. In an attempt to liberate the oppressed, the Allied Retaliation & Solace Empirehood (ARSE) moved all of its airships to London, hoping to execute one massive push towards Italy, freeing nations as they go.

However, British royal gunner and excentric landlord Sir Damian Cavendish and his Icelandic companion Tryggvi Dahhison have been caught off-guard by a patrolling mothership-style siege A very polite battle ensues!

I was inspired by Bioshock: Infinite's trailer, and for most part, by Sabaton's "Aces in Exile". Also, one bright sunny day I thought how different WWII would've been if the Wright brothers invented the vacuum cleaner or something in lieu of the airplane; this drawing pretty much sums up how I imagined it to be!
