The king does not permit his daughter to wed a man until said man finds a way to resolve the royal deficit, and since knights are not trained in economic business, none has dared rescue her from her father's grasp. This particular knight, however, possesses both a way to get to the tower and a courting present, respectively a griffin and an undefined light-emiting object; and since the way to the top's been blocked, not a single guard will be there to disturb them!
This was somewhat of a commission, and as of such I signed it by my proper name. There's a bit of bloom where there shouldn't be any, caused by the graphite saturation, but all in all I'm fairly pleased by the contrast between the shining pencil and the more dusky waterpaint. Gives it a nice ominous sky as well.
