SciFi and Fantasy Art Invarion by Ursula Vernon

Down three flights of stairs from the concrete crane, through the second doorway and the hall full of suits of dog armor, past the giant mural of the firebreathing avocado and the door that can only be opened by humming the chorus to 'Billion Dollar Babies,' there's a room full of gears--well, they're all full of gears--and a woman with two broken swords. Don't know why she's there....I wanted to paint frogs. Unfortunately, my muse has been very irritable lately, and insisted on more concrete, so that's what I've been painting for the past week. Sigh.

7 Aug 2006	Deardriu Natesa	Loading... It seems to be the norm for this pic, but I am also strongly reminded of the Two of Swords. Not Justice. Just the Two of Swords. Following that path down the corridors of my mind, I am strongly curious what a tarot deck from Ursula would like like. The concept is very... endearing. Someone should commission you to make one. With commentary. And the definitions in the back. But commentary first. In the front.
4 Sep 2007	David "Simpleton" Auer	Loading... While it is doubtless true that I am an idiot, I really don't understand the parental warning on this picture. (I also missed the Anubis part of the picture.) It seems obvious to me however that the reason she is there is that she has just successfully defeated the abominable Medusa-Rust Monster-Slime Demon Hybrid creature designed by Dr. Zaur that kept her colleagues from accesing the vault. (The wrappings are one of the few materials which can withstand Slime Demon corrosive effedcts.) Delightful composition. Nice gears.
