SciFi and Fantasy Art The Littlest Hunter by Ursula Vernon

I've been wanting to paint a dragon eating a mouse for a year or so, and finally got around to it. The real challenge with this one was trying to make the dragon as realistic as the background and the mouse. (The mouse took me all of ten minutes, and STILL looks more real than the dragon that I slaved on for four hours. Sigh.) Urk. I seem to be setting myself up for these hyper-detailed paintings in Painter lately...masochism, masochism.

21 Apr 2011	Gavin	Loading... I love the picture! Great feeling. The painting is done so don’t take my crits to hectically...it’s still awesome in it’s entirety. The rocks behind her head could be a little less detailed for me, a little blurred so to bring her head a bit more forward.
