I developed this render while thinking about how certain people make Amorphium3 look bad (the 3-D program I use). On a respected host (I won’t name it), there are people who put up crappy renders and then visitors coming through think that ‘If this is what these people are putting up, then A3 must be a crappy program). A3 is just as good as any of those other heavy-weight 3-D programs; it just doesn’t have tons of outspoken people bragging about it.

This render started off as random meshes I was messing with. I eventually rendered a wing and then progressed to making a ship. After a lot of work, this is what came out. The background texture is one I created in the program ‘Universe’ and is an original design. I am happy with this render and as you can see, have tried to give it a poster-like look. I never referred to a picture, and couldn’t have, as the net was down the entire time I made this.

Does a first comment 'yay'. That's about the same way I felt when I first started using bryce programs to do my 3D work. Everyone else kept ranting on about lightwave and 3DS Max. It all boils down to the fact that if someone thinks a program is bad, it's more than likely because they just can't use it. For meshes I use a "crappy" little freeware prog that doesn't even exist any more to my knowledge called Mesh Maker Pro. For a landscape program and freeware POS, i manage to do pretty well with them.

It seems with less, sometimes you have more, this is true with graphics and other applications like web building. Sometimes the obscure is easier, less constraining. Thanks for stopping by. 2"

Yeah, I'd fly that. And be damned proud of it...

...Which end is the front?
