Hi Emma/moony I said I might stop by tonight and here I am. How did the gloomy MacBeth go? Our English teacher was really ahead of his time, he didn't have us studying any of that dry stuff, we read The Day Of The Triffid amongst a few of the more interesting classics. Such as Black Beauty and Wuthering Heights.
Thanks for your lovely comments on my gallery, now I'll go and read one of yor stories, you never know I might get an idea for a pic, if I've time between other pics Emma 'Saoirse' Cuddy replies: "Mae Govannen! Thanks for coming round to visit! Macbeth wasn't too bad, we've finished studying it and now we've moved onto romantic poery...*mush*.. but we still have a pile of corsework to do on it for next week....*Ai!!!!*Macbeth is on the sillabus for GCSEs so we have to do it....we dont have time to cover anything not on the sillabus....:-( I read both Black Beauty and Wuthering Heights in 2nd year (when I was 13) of my own accord, so at least I didn't miss out! They are great books...Anyway, I'd need to go, as I am suppose to be working on my corsework as we speak....:-(If you have any ideas for a pic or whatever from my poems, work away...I hope you get some good insperations from it! (sorry if this is all spelt wron, I cannot spell to save my life, I normally rely on Microsoft word spell checker, but i'm using my friend's laptop running chinese Windows and I cant remember the character for spell checker...:-p Namarie!Moony"
Great work. When I've got time to join Elfwood, I'm also going to put up poems (hopefully as good as yours).
Intriguing Bio, I'm also a LOTR fan, from where did you learn Quenya?!?!?! Parlez vous français? j'aime le française!et toi?(do you speak french? I love french and you?-- hehe, I'm just learning I also know spanish... could say I was born knowing, since it's my mother language).
Yet again, lovely work, keep it up!! Emma 'Saoirse' Cuddy replies: "Hola! well whats the craic? Thanks for the comment! Sorry for not replying for ages, I have Mocks after christmas and i'm revising like crazy....My advice is, if you want to join elfwood, go for it! Its really cool. If you get on, email me and i'll come look at your stuff. Oui, J'ai parle ça. Je parle la française a l'ecole. C'est Nul! Ma francais est trés trés abominible! (and my teacher hates me because i keep 'vanishing' just before class.....tee hee) I wanted to learn spanish too, but my school doesnt teach it, and i dont have time to take classes outside of school. Ok, your twisted my arm, i lied. I'm learning myself to speak Quenya, from several differant sites. I'll look up the URLS and email them to you when i get a chance. Its a cool language. Thanks! Flattery will get you everywhere...! tee hee, well i must go, the resident hellhound has escaped and is rippin the trousers off some bloke down the road....thanks for the comment!Namarie!"
We have the exact same name, and you are living where my family is from! Very strange no? Emma 'Saoirse' Cuddy replies: "Very strange...lol Thanks for the comment- now I know that at least *some* people are still visiting here... I was thinking of taking this gallery down cause no one really visits anymore, and most of my recent poems count as "Fanfic"...lol go see the rest at http://saoirse.ie.tripod.com"
Saoirse is a beautiful name; it means freedom, I think... (What exactly is a "gaeilge"?) I have to say I envy you because you live in Ireland and play so many wonderful instruments. I'm really interested in traditional Irsh music, but the closest I've ever gotten was a few years of classical violin lessons. What a beautiful library you have! Your poetry has lovely imagery. My only suggestion is to add sensory details (hearing, scent, etc.) other than visuals. Emma 'Saoirse' Cuddy replies: "Greetings! Thanks for commenting! Nice to know ppl still drift past here every so often Yes, Saoirse is the Irish word for "Freedom" (and also a girls name, obviously lol) Gaeilge is just the Irish name for the language, pretty much the same as the word Gaelic in English. As for the instruments, "attempt to play" would probly be a better phrase- I suck x_x I'm doing Grade 5 flute and Grade 4 piano... and I really dont have a clue Thanks for the suggestion. I had'nt really noticed that I rely mostly on visuals... definatly sth I will think about when I'm writing again. Thanks. (And don't envy me. Ireland's cool, but where I live is a dungheap...Come back in a year or 2 and I'll be long gone )"
An bhfuil Gaelige? Wow, creepy. I've never met anyone with so many similar interests before.. How long have you lived in Ireland? I've only know the land from afar, I'm afraid, but I do love it. I can't express how neat it is to have stumbled in here, well, actually, stumbled into your art section then hopped over here. I'd really love to talk to you some more, but I don't like coming off so forward and blunt on first meetings, and I have homework to do. Ta ta! ~Faol saol agat agus bas in Eirinn~ Emma 'Saoirse' Cuddy replies: "Dia Duit! Níl agam ach beagáinín Gaeilge...An labhraíonn tú Gaeilge? Go raibh maith agat óir an trácht^^! I was born here in Tír Eoghain, and I've lived here all my life, but originally my people are from Dún na nGall...I only speak a little Gaeilge that my Nana taught me, but when I get more time I want to learn more. I'd like to talk to you as well, sure you can get me on msn blueshadowrat@hotmail.com if you want to chat a bit more. Slán agus beannacht leat (Agus faol saol agat agus bas in Eireann! )"
