Tag As FavoriteComment		This is for an english project where each student was assigned a certain event in the book to illustrate. I got 'Beowulf presents himself to Hrothgar.' I'm way upset. I wanted to draw Grendel, or Grendel's mom, or the Dragon. Arrgh.

The picture is amazing except the hands need a little bit of work. Try tracing a dragonball z picture, thats how i learned to draw hands very good. Otherwise extremely good

This is my first comment made ever on elfwood and so, here I go. Your picture is great and I admire the detail you put on his warrior's uniform. Hrothgar is hilarious! LOL! Even though you didn't get Grendel or Grendel's mom for the assignment, you did an excellent job! Alex

The picture would be so much better had you icksnayed the "yeah"s and had spent more time on Hrothgar as well.
Otherwise, where did you find the time to draw this?

28 Vanessa Skye Galloway replies: "Well, this picture is like a characature, with some things exagerated. For instance, more detail is given to Beowulf and Hrothgar is very simplified and cartoonie to prove a point. Its not a work of art, its a cartoon english project. thx."

*laughs* This is very funny! After reading the one comment down there(about how the two men should be switched around) I think your picture depicts how Beowulf perceives (sp?) himself,not reality. 1

I really had a good time making fun of this poem when I studied it in class, so i just couldn't resist creating this picture for my final project! I'm glad you liked it!"
