SciFi and Fantasy Art Pixie Guy 2007 by Vanessa Skye Galloway

I'm particularly fond of the movement in this piece. It was meant to still be a work in progress, and there were several things I was still going to work on (wing positions, hip joints, etc) but unfortunately my file was sucked into a black hole and all I was left with was the jpg. I don’t really like having to start something twice, so I choose to leave it as is and hope others will find him cute, adorable, and full of animation! (Partially sketchy lines add to that anyway ;)

My motivation behind creating this picture was the horror I experienced upon realizing I had naked women in my gallery, but no men, thereby continuing the stereotype that I am often openly fighting against. Men's bodies are just as elegant and enchanting as women’s. My gallery needed a fantasy oriented, non-sexual, non-stereotyped male. And here he is. He's full of adorable too :D

CONGRATULATIONS! You are one of oh-so very few who are not terrified of drawing an explicit nude male fairy. Keep up the good work. ~Do you happen to have any art prints for sale? I browsed through Your very fine gallery, but couldn’t find any fully nude woman, but two fully nude men, so Your "motivation" for this picture can’t have been what You say... Just kidding, and please don’t misunderstand me, I have no objections to nudity, be it male or female. Keep up the good work! Vanessa Skye Galloway replies: "Lol, looks like you caught me. I was counting my two ’mostly nude’ women, my mermaid and my harpy. I’ve had other nudes in my gallery over the years, but i delete things on occasion, so when I wrote my description, I may have been referring to something else. Thanks for your comment though!"
