"When Troll met Fairy" by Vanessa Skye Galloway

When Troll met Fairy…there was a long moment of silence.  Connected in time, they shared a common thought “What the heck am I looking at?”

I figure not everyone in the fantasy realm knows one another, so this kind of situation is bound to happen every once in a while. 

I like this picture because its style is much like that of old cartoons.  It’s not readily noticeable (maybe because I grew up with them looking like that) but a lot of times the background is water colored while the actual animated characters are really flat looking.   I’m pretty pleased with the effect here, even though this picture was all computer created.
 

The troll character is based off of my costume that I recently wore to a RenFair.  I often wear a little faceless fairy pin on my shoulder, which a little girl randomly walked up to me and named it Mary at one of the fairs.  I’ve yet to name myself, but I’ll probably pick something from Elder Scrolls.
