I will admit now that this picture wasn't my idea alone. It was inspired by a friend who thought that the concept would be funny and I asked if I could use it and he said I could. Anyway, imagine that you're in a dark room and your friend is whimpering behind you and you here a low growl near by. Suddenly, a flame is lit upon some nearby candles and you look up too see a large dragon with a knife and fork. It's also wearing a napikin across it's neck and you notice that you and your friend are on a large plate. You suddenly realize that you're on the menu! Behind you, your friend says, 'At least it's useing eating utensils...' Time took: 1 hour and 3 min

Awesome picture. He's huge, and when I say huge i mean huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I is the friend that came up with the idea.)

:-) Stephanie E. Riley replies: "Why yes, yes you are that friend! And yes, he is huuuuuuuge... like you say."

Wow, if those people on the plate are that small, imagine how huge the dragon is.....Including the table and candles. Wonder where he shops for furniture and cutlery. Lol great pic.

:-) Stephanie E. Riley replies: "You bring up an interesting idea there. My dragon could make his own stuff... He is very refined ya know."

Would it be too greedy to ask for some Grey Poupon?
Nothing goes so well with adventurer like some Grey Poupon.

:-) Stephanie E. Riley replies: "Probably, concidering the fact that I'm not sure who or what this 'Grey Poupon' is!"

Funny picture.

Needs 1 more fork and a wine glass with some wine.
Can't be civilized without a nice glass of wine.
Salt and pepper shakers would be nice too.

7 Stephanie E. Riley replies: "I see your point. I'll be sure to take a note of it!"

Grey Poupon is a fancy mustard made with Dijon wine. Think Dijon is a white wine. Can get it in fancy french restaurants, its a good mustard to put on steaks (Steak Frites). Don't know if they still make it.

Wow~ one hour?? I can't sit and draw for more than 15 minutes! Lol Interesting idea about drawing an eating dragon 14 But i must congratulate you. I can never draw dragons and make them look realistic. 2

:-) Stephanie E. Riley replies: "If you like my dragons, go see my sister's stuff! I have a link at the bottom of my bio. Hers are much better than mine..."

Awww, it's adorable! Great work on ... well, just about everything. ^^ He really does look... how did they say it down there... "huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge". Yep.

:-) Stephanie E. Riley replies: "Adorable, huh? That's a first. Yes, I have no idea why he needed so many u's but that's just him. Thanx for stopping by!"

Hahaha, funny idea! He looks hungry...

:-) Stephanie E. Riley replies: "You bet he's hungry! I don't think that those puny people are going to fill him up too well though..."

Cool! Verily this one made me smile! (if not laugh) =))) Great idea!
I remember when I was a child I’ve made my grandpa a gift: a little sculpture of a dragon with a knife and a fork in his paws and a napkin across his neck. The only difference if compared to your picture was: my dragon had two heads (and he also had flowers ‘drawn’ on his napkin). 2

You need to work on your technique though. Try to bring some details into the picture. You may put(as it has been suggested) some nice details on the table, like some other dishes or perhaps a vase with flowers. 2 As for the background: I think a civilized dragon should have a cupboard, a fireplace or even a bookshelf in his lair-cave.

:-) Stephanie E. Riley replies: "Yes... this pic was a bit of a rush job. I was in a hurry to get my four starting pics on Elfwood (and this was when I was less patient with drawing)... I have every intention of doing more pics involving the Good Mannered Dragon, so I might redraw this one.I like the fireplace idea... I like fire, though... Oh, well. Thanks for your suggestions!"

This is my all-time favorite sketch of yours.
I love dragons and when I saw this I just cracked up laughing.
I never would have imagined a dragon with such delicate manners!

Wicked.

:-) Stephanie E. Riley replies: "HA! So THIS is where that other comment went! I managed to find that bunny comment easily... but I went through several other pics looking for this one! I am so happy that even though it's ancient, it is liked by many. I was considering making a series of pics of this. Maybe I should... >.>"
