Brand new shiny picture finally c o m p l e t e and ready for your internet-type viewing!! What a title eh?! I cause quantum troublesomes with this one... Half-life is a calculation of how fast a mass of atoms will decay - the rule being that half the atoms in any substance will decay over a certain period of time. When an atom decays, it can change into a whole new element. This is my ultimate symbol of birth-rebirth. It is absent of biological factors, and yet it is absolutely inevitable. I have caught this normally spontaneous process only a few seconds before the nucleus sheds its' skin.

Also check out the detail shots because it is pretty huge: Detailies

Wow, that is impressively surreal. Now, the BIG QUESTION: is it alpha decay, or beta or gamma? 12

:-) Laura Russell replies: "I was actually going for Beta decay - see the electron / beta particle that the female tree is holding?! Thanks for the comments!!"

What media was used for that. Really freakin complex. Good job. And what a imagination. Its thats a decaying atom maybe you can draw a closer look at a nuclear bomb going off next time 1 theres a challenge for you

:-) Laura Russell replies: "lol - thanks :] Maybe I WILL do a bomb next time ;]"

*omigosh* That's an electron?? I totally didn't notice it when you put it on EM, that probably means I missed most of the other cool stuff you squeezed in here... Oh well -_-;

:-) Laura Russell replies: "lol, yeah - I think you have to spend a while pouring over this one to make sense of it :]"

Dali meets Escher, and they smoke some PCP. Again, I liked this. I wish I had something clever to offer by way of comment, but I suppose my simple admiration will have to do.

I only have a marginal understanding on the physics but the drawings are fun regardless. You should mention what the original size of the drawing is or would that be the magnification? Skip
