Honestly? I think it would be more effective if you just showed the hand on her arm and not what is attached to the hand...that way the little monster can look like whatever scares the viewer most. Great job on the light and the shadows and especially on the woman's frightened posture.

very very good!!! i can see the emotion and feeling in her face!! such a way with art you have!

The girl herself is excellent, very realistic, very expressive face. I can't quite make out what's going on though, she seems to be reaching around to the back of something, presumably a door, but I find that black upright bar a bit confusing. I think mr Gollum Teall above explains far better than I could do what's going on here!

This has some really interesting color themes. I like that her jail and captor are "lifeless" colors but she vibrates with flesh tones and a "spring" green dress. This reminded me a lot of Edward Gorey with both the brush line and the subject matter.

I kind of like the way the monster looks... It's freaky the way there's so little detail... You just see an outline, an eye and some rows of jaws. And I have to agree about her expression, and the lighting too is amazing.

It inspires or intises you think or imagine, what has grasped her.

It makes your heart pick up in beats. Perhaps another take on this picture would be having the person just out of the door with the relief on their face, and the shadow of whoever is just about to catch them right behind them. This really gets the sentiment across, so why not try another version too?

I think the monster looks kind of scary

Great choice of composition, and very nice mood you created *thumb up* But the hair looks a bit odd somehow.. maybe put some more shading in it? anyway, it's a nice piece!
