| 17 Feb 2007 | Dorota Błażejowska | Hi, You've got so great imagination...and there is a lot of details in every picture-but everyone has told You that recently, as I can see hope You'll soon add more stuff Melissa A. DeCocq replies: "Thanks, I walk it twice a day and have recently changed its diet. yeah, been hearing that a lot, but it's hard to be bothered by praise. I do have a ticket in line currently, it shouldn't be too long...{**}" | |
| 18 Feb 2007 | Shannon Mclean | Character and story-based art is always really engaging, and I enjoyed looking at yours! You're very good on detail. It makes me think I should get my act together and start doing more full images myself. ^_^ Wonderful stuff, so keep up the good work! Melissa A. DeCocq replies: "Thank you, maybe someday I'll actually finish a story. I always enjoy pics with stories behind them too." | |
| 18 Feb 2007 | Michelle | Melissa, We really enjoyed your drawings. You can definitely tell you have more imagination than most around us (you remember). You should definitely dabble a little more with color, they are good. Your detail is EXTREME and I love it. Keep up the good work!! Melissa A. DeCocq replies: "Oh, thank you very much. you know, it took me a moment to realize who you were; not used to using your firt name I've got some more color pictures on my next ticket. See ya later!" | |
| 21 Feb 2007 | Brianna C. Nontell | Rar! I saw your comment on my art, the one about my life-threatening condition. I just followed your steps and I'm all better now! Except I will be a quadraplegic forever. Nyeh. *Scurries off to look at your gallery* Melissa A. DeCocq replies: "Happy to help " | |

| 12 Jun 2007 | Joel David Ascenzo | You have so much detail in your work. I provide one tip (as if my advice had much meaning artistically ). Not that I think your stuff or style is bad. It's wonderful. I just noticed in doing my OWN pictures that sometimes hiding detail and making things more subtle has a stronger effect than letting a viewer see everything in explicit detail. An parallel I came up with is "Even boobs look better from behind." Okay, so as a saying it sucks. Sue me. Point is, sometimes the awe, beauty, majesty or power of a visual image can be enhanced by hiding some of it. I can't claim to have seen a spot in your art where this works, I'm just saying that 'cause I noticed it myself. Birds of a feather have to give advice on how to poop on statues. Good stuff. Keep it up. Melissa A. DeCocq replies: "Thanks for the advice, Joel. Say, you weren't in MSA a couple of weeks ago, were you? You have the same name as this one guy and you kind of sound like him : enormously witty. Hmm. Get back to me on that and thanks for visiting.MAD out" | |
| 4 Jul 2007 | Joel David Ascenzo | MSA? I don't even know what that is. I might try it out if you tell me what it is and how to get there. And yes, I am witty. I can make clever statements, too. Melissa A. DeCocq replies: "MSA was a three-week program for selected sophomores in Missouri. It's over now. Sorry. and I got in touch with the guy I thought was you. Sorry for the confusion. And so humble too. " | |
| 9 Jul 2007 | Joel David Ascenzo | I'm the must humble guy I know! SARCASM! Well, I hope that this other guy didn't detract from meeting me. It was genuinely nice meeting you, as well as viewing your artwork. | |
