This is a story built into poem form. I started it one night a while ago and finally decided to finish. It's about an animalistic woman running for her life.

Tangled, red locks blow into her face
As she runs from his deathly embrace
Black, wet ground slips beneath her feet
Her dripping body emits an aura of heat
Steam rises from her pale, milky skin
Something pushes her, pulses deep within
A new form of light glows behind her eyes
As a candle in the rain that quickly dies
She rushes forth in the soggy, darkened night
She dashes onward in the eerie moonlight
Her hazel animal eyes search for shelter
Looking back it’s all a disturbing blur
But he’s close behind her, chasing her down
She slips in the mud and falls to the ground
He’s almost got her, chasing in demonic form
As he traces her movement even in this storm
She can’t escape, he’s drawing too near
Her heartbeat quickens, in her eyes there’s fear
On the ground her body begins a violent shake
Her mental barrier is slowly beginning to break
Her arms bend into wings, her legs shape into paws
On her feet emerge sharp, long, razor-like claws
She slowly takes griffin form, lion and raven
No longer is she a little girl, weakly and craven
She spreads wide her damp, black, raven wings
She rises up to the air as if she were on strings
She rises and swoops and turns him into her prey
She’ll have him before the coming of this new day
He sees her racing forward, she has turned the table
He is her prey and now comes the end of his fable
He turned his back and began to swiftly run
She was set on toying with him and having fun
She dived down, turned him around, raced him back
She played with his mind ‘til he was ready to crack
He fell to his knees, kneeling in the water and mud
Sensing he’d had enough she simply let free his blood

This is a very well written poem. I love to see how far you have come in your writing. I feel privileged to be able to witness your growth. This poem conveys a feeling of urgency in the beginning and I love how you threw in that twist. Keep 'em coming!
