I wrote this at around three in the morning while I was thinking about Vampires and what they go through when they first change. I hope you enjoy.

How long since you’ve seen the light
When was the last time you slept through the night
How long till you realize what you’ve done
Are you still yearning to see the sun
Each of the murders you’ve carried out
Remain in your thoughts, a growing shout
How do you live after each passing death
How do you deal when they draw their last breath
You’ve killed many just to sustain
To continue living in your pain
Blood drips down your chin
As their life flows beneath your skin
Your conscience tugs at you once more
Still you attempt to ignore
The pain and anger taking over you
The madness caused by what you must do
Hating every moment of this reality
Hating what you are forced to be
A murderer, a killer, a Vampire
This is not the life you desire
How many deaths were because of you
Because of the blood lust you can’t subdue
Why do you go on killing this way
When will you decide to meet the sun’s first ray
Each night that passes you contemplate
What exactly is to become your fate
Shall you ever meet with the sun
Will you burn for what you done
Conscience slips to the back of your mind
As you slowly become more malevolently inclined
Now you decide that you can continue
There’s nothing left you feel the need to subdue
You’ve given up every last ounce of pain
After all Vampires are at the top of this chain
And why not is the question you let slip
Your conscience is slowly losing its grip
Back to full strength and feeding for vitality
You’re giving in to a Vampire’s reality
No care of conscience of what you’ve done
Knowing your existence has only begun
Blood drips down your chin
As their life flows beneath your skin
Grinning, showing your ability to cause pain
Now the kill is for fun, not just to sustain
