| This is something that came to mind as My friend was talking about drawing her friends as characters. Dryads... very interesting... :) Read on! Have fun. |

Closing around him
Each branch a threatening limb
As a dark forest come to life
Made only to cause him strife
Their branches grab like hands
Holding him where he stands
The dryads grip the cloth so tight
Dragging him towards the eternal night
Held in their darkened forest
Dragged while still he protests
‘I’m innocent; I show no evil’
He screams while still they pull
They work only to protect the good
Saw a threat under his shrouded hood
‘I’m only good and known for purity
Hold me and you’ll destroy this reality’
His pleas and comments went unheard
Any such truths were simply absurd
The branches that held him
Made things appear grim
These dryads were never wrong
So they held their convictions strong
Dragging him along the path
To where they were to hand out their wrath
Judged and tried the branch grew tight
Guilty he began to slip from the light
Darkening, the shadow’s pull
The dryads were taken over by evil
‘You elders have done your part
Cleft a hole into the pure, good heart
Leaving us room to have our rule
You’ve given into evil you pitiful fool’
