Her eyes froze on him in fear
And her entire body seemed to shake
As suddenly it all became clear
And the demon in him began to awake
He held her above the ground
With his hand gripped around her neck
Taped her mouth and kept her bound
His prisoner he kept angrily in check
He whispered slowly in her ear
‘You are my one, my only key
You have nothing you have to fear
Except maybe me
You will be my pet, my own little slave
You will run errands for me
And follow me to my nonexistent grave
All this you will do, you see
Without the flight risk of lesser ones
You are mine, my key, my possession
No one who belongs to me ever runs
And I might free you at my discretion’

His hand still held her throat
And she was still well above ground
One of her hands moved beneath her coat
She moved with little sound
No attention was drawn to her hand
She listened as her master spoke
Listened as he gave another command
His demon side no longer held by a magical cloak
His skin showed a deathly red
With horns above each eye
The sight would fill most with dread
And cause many eyes to cry
She with fear stared at his face
Eye to eye with this beast
Looked to how he held her in place
And began to figure how she’d be released
She pulled the gun from behind her back
He couldn’t control her if he were dead
She began to execute her attack
Two rounds off, black poured instead of red
He slid down, dropping to his knees
“I’m neither yours nor anyone’s”
She stated standing perfectly at ease
That’s kept true by these, my guns
She held the gun up to his head
Winked once and laughed with glee
She saw in his eyes his very dread
Smiling she said, “no one owns me.”
She turned her back on his weakling shape
He stared angrily after her
She was the first of his to escape
Never again would that occur
