SciFi and Fantasy Art Duelling Mages by Ville Mönkkönen

This is one of the works of my new period of trying to achieve the look of pencil drawing with the computer (yes, I'm learning a new program!). These mages are locked in a deadly duel where they contest their knowledge of harmful and protective magic. I think I was inspired by some music that brought tears into my ears. >;) I like the (un)natural poses of the mages, and the lightning effect, but time I would like you to share your thoughts of the outcome, and what areas could be enchanced.

16 Aug 2007	Robert Bracey	Loading... It is really stunning, and is heading on to one of my favourites lists, but since you asked for criticism there is one niggle. The join between the forground characters and the nebulae image you downloaded, probably from the Hubble telescope gallery, is a little obvious. I think maybe you almost needed to redraw the background completely, though I suspect that would be incredibly tedious to actually do.
