Agni is the god of Fire and the twin brother of Indra.. he is the medium through which all offerings are made to the gods in Yagyas (fire-sacrifices) and it is he who gives way to new creation by ensuring destruction of all that is worn and broken.. Agni is generally portrayed as a red faced, bearded man riding a chariot driven by rams.. he resides in the third eye of Shiva and exists in three forms - Fire, lightening and the Sun.. He has seven fiery tongues and his favorite food is Ghee- the clarified butter used in fire sacrifices... he is a friend of the humans staying in their domestic fires and is immortal yet ever-young because everytime a fire is lit he is born again..
