She is the Energy of the creator-god Brahma also called Saraswati in her other representation.. since she is more or less a reflection of Brahma, i have given her the attributes associated with him- four heads (could show only two here bcoz of the angle), a chariot pulled by swans, a sacred rosary and a pitcherfull of water sanctified with powerful Mantras.. she is one of the Seven Female Powers called the Saptamatrikas who are called upon by the gods when they can't deal with the demons themselves! She does not use any weapons to kill the demons, instead she uses her magic to cast spells on them and sap out all their strength.. This is one of my early sketches on Hindu goddesses along with Durga and Lakshmi..

I’m not familiar with the character / god, but it’s still a good picture. The swans are well done and I have to congratulate you on her hands.

11 Vineet Aggarwal replies: "Thanx John.. she is the most delicate of the goddesses always engrossed in the pursuit of spreading knowledge and teaching the sixteen arts..therefore i have tried to show her in a less aggressive mode than the other goddesses 2"

I loved d chariot being carried by swans. They are associated with wisdom right?

This is cool. You might want to make the swans stand out a bit more against the white/light-colored background. Otherwise, they’re pretty good.

11 Vineet Aggarwal replies: "Ya actually i had made them darker but i think the contrast settings of my scanner r responsible for this! anyways so how hv u been doing?"

She reminds me of Jasmine from Aladdin. Except for the four heads hehe. I love the tassles on the umbrella for some reason.

21 Vineet Aggarwal replies: "Does she now?? i wish i could ahow the four heads somehow u know.. and yeah me likes the tassles too! "

now there seems to be a mouthful there as one of the seven female powers. i like the names, they’re so long and flowing. you can tell they have deep meenings. i don’t suppose your name means anything does it?

11 Vineet Aggarwal replies: "Yeah they do.. infact Saraswati means ’the one who flows continuously’ She is the goddess of knowledge and arts and is the personification of an ancient river called by the same name.. The name signifies the flow of the river as well as the river of wisdom and teaching..

And hey my name ’Vineet’ means Polite 2 "

everyone does. lots of people try to keep it under wraps, but i live it out there in the open. wich explains why so many people hate and fear me. when i said big personality, i meant it. my friends call me DEATH and my army kids call me RABID BUSCH. there’s a reason for that.

18 Vineet Aggarwal replies: "lol!!! u need to get new friends 2 just relax and tk life as it comes yaar!"
