SciFi and Fantasy Art Orchid - The Vampire Queen by Valarie Nicharico

Orchid was inspired by a character in my story '...of Angels and Devils'. This was a scene I wrote for her:

Orchid's eyes glaze over as her smile widens. She bares her teeth and walks over to the arrow cache, pulling a few from the vat where the tips soak in (angel's) blood, trailing the shimmering substance as she brings them to her lips and extends her forked tongue. You hear a low gutteral laugh coming from her as she consumes the stuff, almost voraciously. Dropping the arrows, she reaches her hand into the vat and brings it back cupped and filled with blood, which she egarly drinks. The Queen clears her throat, more than a bit annoyed. Orchid turns slowly and faces her. She looks as though she is possessed; eyes glazed and wild, mouth dripping with blood, and is met by a sharp slap in the face from the Queen. 'Now is not the time for this...' She hisses, as Orchid draws back. Her tail flips wildly as she slowly moves into the corner to recollect herself; still licking the final remnants of blood from her hand.

Now excuse me while I run like hell as my dear darkangel chases me with a rusty saw. Valarie Nicharico replies: "~Bothering me? taps her nails on her desk Come over here a moment, Lye... I'll show you what I do to people who "bother" me, and then I'll let you decide...~ "
5 Apr 2004	Wendy Bittnerová	Loading... I think I like this one better...she looks so decadent and wicked. I wanted to put an open mouth like this one on my Daemon...but coudn't get it to look right. This is a great pic! Valarie Nicharico replies: "Thanks! I fought with this one. There really isn't alot that's physically demonic about Orchid. Wings, and a tail, sure..but other than that I wanted her to be beautiful...so I had to go with that forked tongue..and the teeth were, well, sortof a must for a Vampire Queen. Glad you like it!"

Valarie Nicharico replies: "Thanks! Feel free to make a mask, but if you do let me see it, please! ^.^ I'd love to see how it turns out! "

Nice work Valarie Nicharico replies: "That's honestly one of the biggest compliments anyone could have given me hug That's the look I was going for when I did this piece. I love his work! "
