SciFi and Fantasy Art The Twins by Valarie Nicharico

My inspiration for this painting was the cover art by Thomas Carty for the book 'Snow White and Rose Red' by Patricia C. Wrede. The book is based on the Grimms Fairytale. It has held a special place in my heart for many years, and when I painted this picture, I turned to the cover for inspiration. The image on the book cover is of the sisters in the book, while my image is of myself (in red) and my dear sister Zana. The background represents us, our spirits and our common bonds.

It kinda reminds me of me and Beck (her being the Goody Two Shoes, me being the horrible child everyones parents hate) <grinz> But all in all, this picture is really sweet, quite touching, actually.

3 Jan 2003	Stephanie Celeste Chateau	Loading... Wonderful. claps lightly I used to know someone who had a pendant with the moon and sun mixed together type design. This reminds me of the past, especially with the blur effect, and my own personal memories. The dresses are cute as well. Valarie Nicharico replies: "Thank you! This is myself and my sister, Zana.
