Vaedryn and Quinlan's story centers around the life of two vampires who have a morbid fascination with their own death. They can often be found just at the crack of dawn waiting for the sun to rise, perversely wishing to end their own lives. Yet, this is only a morbid fantasy and they always leave before anything actually becomes imperil. Vaedryn, with his boyish looks, often is found quoting Dickinson, as he waits for the horizon, 'Because I could not stop for Death, He kindly stopped for me; The carriage held but just ourselves and immortality.' The poem is a perfect conundrum upon his view of his martyred life.

I love these vampires!!!! They look so old fashioned and classic, which makes this pic marvelous!!!

The composition of this picture is amazing, this combination of graphical elements on the gate and the more organic stuff behind it add a special feeling to this picture. Also your use of light and shadow is great.

I love this pic...do you use photo references? I can't see how you'd be able to do such a pic without, but you never know 2

:-) Jessica Voigt replies: "Actually I have my boyfriend who sits in akward poses for me, and then I change the facial and body shape, as long as i can get a jist for how the arm might pop out, or the head might tilt, I am good, that is why in a lot of my art, you will see that I have the basic shape down by having a thick dark line on it(which I do by starting in a red pencil, and then I begin to hardline and shade in the faces and what not). On the female side, I use a lot of looking in the mirror. It is from life drawing and sequential art classes that one begins to get the idea of nose lines and such...not that I am saying I am much good at it...That is just where they come from. As for the environments...those are easy for an architect geek...learn your perspectives and the world is a breeze..."

Misplaced my thesaurus so, once again, you are pummeled with the redundant "Wow!". I love the background and the gates, not to mention how wonderfully drawn they are. I love the hat, though I must ask-which is Vaedryn and which is Quinlan?

:-) Jessica Voigt replies: "Vaedryn is the one sitting on the ground...thanks again for commenting..."
