| 24 Mar 2003 | Maura Elko | Loading...I love this pic...do you use photo references? I can't see how you'd be able to do such a pic without, but you never know Jessica Voigt replies: "Actually I have my boyfriend who sits in akward poses for me, and then I change the facial and body shape, as long as i can get a jist for how the arm might pop out, or the head might tilt, I am good, that is why in a lot of my art, you will see that I have the basic shape down by having a thick dark line on it(which I do by starting in a red pencil, and then I begin to hardline and shade in the faces and what not). On the female side, I use a lot of looking in the mirror. It is from life drawing and sequential art classes that one begins to get the idea of nose lines and such...not that I am saying I am much good at it...That is just where they come from. As for the environments...those are easy for an architect geek...learn your perspectives and the world is a breeze..." | |

I love the background and the gates, not to mention how wonderfully drawn they are. I love the hat, though I must ask-which is Vaedryn and which is Quinlan? Jessica Voigt replies: "Vaedryn is the one sitting on the ground...thanks again for commenting..." | |
