Tag As FavoriteComment		This Picture depicts the classic struggle of Good vs. Evil. The chess board represents the players or 'us'. which is balanced on the world of which they struggle. Satan is the lawyer 'liar' with his Arch Demon, Succubus, and Devil at his side. While god is the Divine Benevolent deity who looks unconcerned with his Arch Angel, Faithful Nun, and Cherub at his side. Satan's chair is made of bones, souls, and human Skin. God's chair is made from stone with a fresco of the tree of Knowledge on the side of it. It took me almost a month and a half to make this drawing and I believe it is the best I have ever done. I put the picture in perspective and even measured out ever character, chess piece and chair segment to make sure all was just right. Also I would like to thank Linda, because without you this picture would never have been finished or very good. Due to your devotion and suggestions this picture has become more than I ever could have made it. Also due to the constant checking and praise of John, which without the pic would not have even been worked on. There were several times I thought about scrapping it due to some part I did not like, but he said it would turn out ok. IN addition I would like to thank my bro Nathan for inspiring me with the idea to even think of doing a picture of Satan Vs. God on a chess board. For without this I would not have invisioned the concept of this drawing. (see now you are in there) If I forgot to tell you that I'm greatful for helping me with this pic I THANK ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY THAT IN ANY WAY CONTRIBUTED TO THIS DRAWING. Thanks Guys. Done with .05 click pencil and paper smudges on 14'x17' paper

so in the game of chess miss leading your opponent in thinking he is winning is key to trapping him for the win and in this case evil is being trapped by good so thats why he is smiling because he already knows he won

It reminds me of a danish book. It’s about God and Satan playing chess, and the main characters are the chess pieces. It’s called Slaget i Caïssa - "the battle in Caïssa" and a man named Kenneth Bøg Andersen wrote it.

This Picture is amazing, I really feel it, this would be a great idea for a tattoo. If you want to make some extra cash, you should draw tattoos for people. I have a religous theme on my body, and wanted to know if you had any more drawings, I dont want to affend you, your very talented. Thanks for your time.

I don’t man to be a real douche or anything, but the preportions of the face don’t seem that correct especially the woman’s one (bottom left), and their hands also seem slightly out of proportion, as Satan’s hand is too long, in preportion to the rest of the body. Besides that, that is a FFFAAANNNTTAASSSTTIICCC drawing, 9/10

I was looking to get a good vs. evil tatt and have been real picky havent seen anything i like but after seeing this im def doing something with possible jesus and the devil or a grim reaper and an angel playin chess serious drawing man!!

Wow. The detail in this is amazing. And I love the chess metaphor, and the way everything splits right down the middle.
