A sketch of one of the tree-people of Narnia. I haven't colored her in yet, but she's meant to be a birch-goddess.

I'm really suprised at the number of comments this sketch got, or that it got Mod's Choice! wow! Everyone seens to like the fact that it's black and white....now I really want to see what color would do for it! Thanks all.

Wow, this is so beautiful! A very well-deserved mod’s choice! I like how she looks not quite human and not quite tree, just like it is described in the books. And her face expression is great! I love her long fingers too, so much like branches.

I really like this picture! I think it is definitely the best dryad on Elfwood!

Now see? Why couldn’t they have sone some Awesomeness Like This in the Prince Caspian movie?! Instead they just stole the hourns from LotR, but not as cool, and had them flinging their roots about. Lazies...on the whole movie really....*phbbbt*
But yeah, This is Definitely & Absolutely Brilliant! It’d be cool to see it in colour too! WOO! Muffins for you! ^_^ *Skips away scattering muffins in all directions*

I’m agreeing about the laziness of the P.C. people. That was stinky. BUT I LOVE THISS!!!!!

Hi! I love this drawing. I represent a Live Action Roleplay in Massachusetts. We are writing a new game where players can be Dryads. Would you be alright with us posting this picture in our rulebook for artwork? We will place your name at the bottom of the piece if you would like.

Please respond here. I don’t have a sign in for this forum, but am looking forward to hearing from you.,

Thanks!
Lizz

Yes, this is a dryad... a "treeish woman," not a petal-ghost. You can’t imagine the things which passed for dryads in the movie being married to children of Frank and Helen.
