I LOVE IT! it is an exceptional piece of art! although i can't help noticing that it looks a little bit like Frodo is going to kiss Sam, but it's awesome anyway!

Very good picture... save it for the distant times (that is, if homosexuality does not prevail... Hopefully.) You could of course, remake it and have the american (considered modern)way, with Sam not touching Frodo.

This is a wonderful pic and I am so glad to see that there are so many people who realize that two men can truely love one another without there being any sex involved. I was reading in a book just yesterday about how our soldier's hated the Vietnamese people and referred to them as being queer because within Asian cultures it is not unusual for two men who are good friend's to walk down the street holding hand's. To our men they were sissies and that is why they couldn't fight and win a war. I'm glad that attitudes toward male love in slowly but surely changing. It really does my heart god to read all these comments that have a positive attitude toward love between to men. Women have been free to hug and kiss one another without fear for centuries out of love for one another. But yet it is somehow wrong for two men to express their love for one another. Anyway, I do love this picture.

Your pic is great! But i agree with Jessamyn Feadaughter Eowyn of rohan. Plus:- dear Samwise marries Rose Cotton and has about 13 kids acording to the family tree in the back of the books! So anonymous is a freak with a dirty mind! plus i'v read the books icluding the Hobbit,seen all the movies and Sean Astin dose dear Samwise so well and in the same way he captured Samwise you have captured his friendship!

I don't think it's terrible to interpret them as gay. I think every interpretation is valid. When I'm thinking seriously about them, I know that they're not in a romantic relationship, but sometimes it's nice to have such a sweet gay couple.
It's still a beautiful and pure love, no matter what angle you look at it from. Also a beautiful picture. I love Redhaired!Freckled!Sam.

(And, as a note, my friends [of both genders] and I have sat like this. So no, it doesn't have a lot of romantic connotations to me. They still make an adorable pair, romantic or not.)

Greetings, love your art! This is so sweet. Frodo is like a child reaching up for the safety of his parent's arms, knowing he'll be taken care of. I love their relationship, the purest, deepest love anyone can have for anyone. We should all be so lucky to be loved so much! Imagine what the world would be like.
