Small parts of the details are explained in the last two paragraphs of the storytelling about this character.

FOR THOSE NOT INTERESTED, SKIP THE STORY PART

Lannie's character description: http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/art/w/a/wandakorosec/lannietree.jpg.html
Alexanders character description:http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/art/w/a/wandakorosec/alextree.jpg.html

This here is La-ela. A Catfairy or also called ‘sidi’ (her race) from my story called 'Black Lotus'. The lifetree was a try on symbolism. Lifetrees are trees that store the essence of memories and dreams (the orbs). A lifetree gets smaller/bigger depending on the lifespan of the person. The lifetrees in the story don't look like this at all, and they can't sit in it, I just tried something new. Lifetrees contain nightmares/dreams and good/bad memories. Most people don't know where their own tree grows,

The windows look back at her long stay at her golden cage. La-ela is a rich aristocrats daughter. Her father is the mayor of one very important capital, and her mother helps him control it. One day she gets sick of staying between 4 walls. She leaves the castle, she even leaves Mo-ema (pronounced Moe-eema), her muffin baking god-mother. (her own parents are never home) Leaving the safe barriers of their hidden capital and wood, she meets Lannie. Being very curious about Lannie she follows here, in hopes of becoming an adventurer, but not one of the good kind. Ever heard of landpirates?

She fights with her little moonsicles she is holding (encripted with elf chants). She is very strong and bold, and loves a good fight. She is not one to retreat easily (wich can cause her trouble) and she has got attitude. She is quite brown, from training on the castle’s grounds, she talks alot, and her eyes are very remarkable, some sort of deep green, lik the forest. Many sidi are jealous of her good looks.

La-ela meets Lannie. And some time later Alexander joins them too. She loves to pick fights with him, but nothing serious, because she knows that if she would try anything serious, she would be beaten by him. La-ela misses Mo-ema alot, and makes Alexander to be her private cook. Lannie becomes her best friend, for her patience and unendless knowledge of magic. Lannie might not be strong, but her knowledge will saved them many times. La-ela appreciates lannie alot, they would risk their lives for each other. La-ela teaches lannie the good life, the haute cuisine and the fine arts and how to smile, and lannie gives the hot headed La-ela some important life-lessons.

The little orange critters are fireflykeepers. In ‘Black Lotus’ (The name of the story) there are fireflies. Those fireflies aren’t just insects. They are parts of dreams and memories (good ones) that shouldn’t get lost. The fireflykeepers try to catch them, and bring them back to the owners lifetrees (they attach them to the orbs you can see) bringing the memories back again. Good dreams and memories are represented by fireflies. Bad dreams and memories are represented by scarabs. There also are two kind of fireflykeepers. The orange ones and the wite ones. The orange ones catch the memories, and the white ones catch the dreams. There also is a third less wanted kind of fireflycatcher, but that one will be told about later.

Being an aristocrats daughter she is trained in many fine arts. She is very good at calligraphy (hence the brushes and scrolls around the trees) and dancing (that’s why she fights graciously with her moon sicles). The window on the down right part stands for her imprisonment in her parents beautifull castle. The mushrooms are added because she lives in the most beautifull hidden forrest, and also because she likes to poison others slightly, just for good fun, or when they anoy her.

That strange chain hanging from the upper creature is some sort of compass, only she (and her race) know how to use it. It’s one of their primairy spells. La-ela’s magic use is low so she doesn’t know many other spells.

The story is much more complicated like that... it still sounds all fuzzy ... I'll write it down completely when I have some decent character description of all persons/characters. I wrote the story some years ago btw, many many years...
