Really? ...hmm...I shall have to do some reading to see, however I hope I like your stuff better than that of Orwell!...not a big fan... you couldn't perhaps choose someone else...probably not, eh? oh well! I'm off to have a look! Andrew Watson replies: "Hmm, now that I think about it, there are much better role-models out there than Orwell. I just decided that I liked 1984 and went with that...I'll come up with something else eventually."
| 7 Dec 2005 | Kathryn | Loading...Well, I made it through, and I must say I enjoyed being here. Just curious, are you planning on trying to get published? If I ever do get my bachelor's (and a job afterwards--don't hold your breath) I'd be glad to. In case you couldn't already tell, I'm planning on being a book agent. That is, if I survive all this math and science crud that UAB seems to think that I, as an English major, need. I could start ranting now but I won't bore you with that. ("Well rounded". English majors are supposed to be "well rounded". Sheesh.) Andrew Watson replies: "Am *I* planning on getting published? Am *I*?Nope. Never. Why would I want to get published. Wait a minute, scratch that and replace it with a resoundings 'Yes!'English majors need maths and science? Dagnabbit! I'm planning on majoring in English, and I haven't done any science all year, let alone any real maths. Well, good luck on all that 'well rounded' stuff, anyway." | |
| 7 Dec 2005 | Kathryn | Loading...I haven't finished checking out your library--I will, I promise. It's just that it's nine-thirty PM and I know better than to read anymore--I've got an eight o'clock class tomorrow...thank you for providing a welcome (if detrimental to my GPA) distraction to studying for my finals. Andrew Watson replies: "No problem. I hope you enjoyed reading the ones that you had the time to check out, and that you find the time to have a browse through the others at some stage.Eight o'clock classes? Ouch..." | |
| 28 Aug 2006 | Kathryn | Loading...You updated! Darn the fact that I have to go to history class in fifteen minutes!!! >.< I will be back to read your new stuff I promise!!! | |

>Tears of Joy<
I'm going to enjoy reading your material, Andy. In case you can't tell, dystopic fiction is my life. I want to become a dictator one day, so I look to the great literary tyrants - Big Brother, Mustafa Mond, Emperor Palpatine, and the like - for inspiration.
Just curious; have you started writing a dystopic novel? I'd love to see a longer work with strong character development.
Well, I'm off to start reading. Stop by my page sometime in the next week or two; I have 8 chapters of my dystopic novel waiting to be posted. - Michael

| 10 Jan 2008 | Sharna Steinert | Loading...Hello! So I found you on Elfwood. I’ve read two stories so far, and they’re really interesting concepts. I look forward to getting time to look at them all, and new ones when they’re up! As for my stories, you’ll have to wait a while. I don’t have many typed up yet, and haven’t submitted any to Elfwood at this stage. If you have any suggestions for a title for my ’Unfallen’ story, please let me know! | |
