  | Well, exactly two years after doing the Lemur Chick drawing, I now find myself finishing another anime drawing to give away as a Christmas gift. I had forgotten just how difficult it is to use watercolour pencils and pen... I guess I have gotten a little too comfortable with my drawing pencils. It was nice to go back to this kind of pictures, they are very fun to make and I can just let myself go. Even if it is hard to believe, it was also really hard to do this drawing, because I am very used to doing more complicated compositions and themes, and going back to something so simple can be challenging. As my mom keeps reminding me: "Grand isn't necessarily good, you need to know when to go minimalistic." Wise words... I need to work on that... |
